1987 Porsche 911
The car was repainted blue in 2008 by Cars Dawydiak in San Francisco, California according to included receipts. Exterior alterations consist of a MA Shaw duck tail spoiler, Carrera side scripts, a 964 rear bumper, European-style turn signal lenses, aero side mirrors, and Bosch headlights. The selling dealer notes an area of peeling paint near the passenger-side quarter glass. Close-up photos of the trim, mirrors, and lenses are viewable in the gallery below.
Polished and painted 16″ Fuchs wheels are mounted with staggered-width Bridgestone S-02 tires, while suspension modifications include Bilstein shocks and a strut tower brace.
The interior is fitted with 930 seats as well as RS-style door panels and carpeting installed in 2012. Updated audio components consist of a CD player with iPod integration, Bose speakers, and a rear seat-mounted subwoofer. A Hofco 111 alarm system, sound deadening materials, and a battery cut-off switch have also been installed.
Controls include a Nardi steering wheel and a billet shifter. The six-digit odometer shows just over 188k miles, approximately 2,500 of which have been added by the selling dealer in two years. The air conditioning system has been removed.
The 3.2-liter flat-six was overhauled at 140k miles using new piston rings, fresh seals, 964 camshafts, and 993 head studs. Other upgrades include a Steve Wong ECU chip and a dual-outlet exhaust system with SSI heat exchangers.
Shifting is through a five-speed G50 manual transaxle, and a new clutch was installed in 2007. The engine oil, air filter, and brake fluid were changed in early July 2019. Additional underbody photographs can be seen in the gallery below.
The July 2019 Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage and shows registration in Illinois, Washington, California, Massachusetts, and Florida through May 2018.
