This 1974 Porsche 914 embodies the classic mid-engine charm that has made the model a favorite among Porsche enthusiast. Power comes from a responsive 2.0-liter flat-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, an ideal setup for enjoying the 914?s famously balanced chassis.

The car wears a striking Dark Sapphire Pearl finish over a black vinyl-and-cloth interior, and comes equipped with the desirable Appearance Group Package, Weber 40 carburetors, a high-flow exhaust system, four-wheel disc brakes, 15 Fuchs alloys, and a removable Targa top.

Additional features include a cabin heater, two-way adjustable seats, and a Kenwood CD stereo. The car was purchased by the previous owner on Bat, who completed extensive mechanical work, including a complete engine rebuild, refreshed ignition components, new heater boxes, flywheel, and clutch, along with newly finished sail panels. Showing 52k miles, this 914 is offered with a newly rebuilt transmission from Vertex Automotive, and a clean Florida title.

The black removable Targa top beautifully complements the Dark Sapphire Pearl repaint. The exterior features fog lights, pop-up headlights, dual mirrors, polished bumper trim, and quad slash-cut polished exhaust tips that suit the Weber-fed flat four's soundtrack. The vinyl sail panels were retrimmed in August 2024.

Polished 15 Fuchs wheels are wrapped in Remington Ultra Metric tires, and braking is courtesy of factory four-wheel discs. The Brake master cylinder, calipers, brake pads, and rotors were recently changed at Vertex Auto, as well as the front headlights and side markers. The seller also replaced the spare tire and brake hoses to keep the car road-ready.

Inside, the cabin retains the straightforward, driver-focused feel that defines the 914. Two-way adjustable bucket seats are finished in black vinyl with cloth inserts, accompanied by three-point seatbelts, manual-crank windows, a functioning cabin heater, and a Bluetooth-enabled Kenwood unit. A small hole is noted on the driver's seat bolster.

The mid-mounted 2.0-liter flat-four engine was sourced from a 1976 914 and then rebuilt in 2021 by John Chambers Motorsports in Valley Center, California. The rebuild included installation of Weber 40 IDF carburetors and replacement of the ignition coil, distributor cap and rotor, condenser, points, and spark plugs, giving the engine a refresh tailored to enthusiasts who appreciate crisp throttle response and reliability.

Overall, this 914 is a stunning showcase of Porsche engineering. The driving experience is fun and engaging. This is one Porsche you will love.
